Why do people believe that Jesus is God?

A person’s identity starts with what the person said about themselves. Jesus himself consistently claimed to be God and invited people to believe in him.

He said he could answer prayer, forgive sin, grant eternal life… characteristics only belonging to God.

Words are easy, but the reason people believed him was because of the constant miracles they saw him do. He healed the sick and diseased and those couldn’t walk or couldn’t see. He freed people from demons. He even brought people back to life.

Yet, Jesus’ greatest proof was saying he would be put to death by crucifixion, and then three days after being buried he would physically come back to life.
