How to overcome low self-esteem?

We can be our own greatest critics. Even when we do something well, it is easy to find flaws in it.

Some people live with constant disappointment in themselves. Is there a way out? Is it really possible to change how you view yourself?

Yes. The solution is not through positive thinking, self-statements or trying to minimize your faults. People will say, "Don't let anyone tell you that you need to change." But you know that is simplistic advice that really doesn't help.

What really changes a person's self-esteem is being completely known and deeply loved by someone. That love needs to be unconditional, unchanging and real. Only God's love is this perfect.

See this article written by someone who dealt with this. It explains how to find freedom from guilt and self-loathing, and instead be loved.
