You don't have to wonder if God cares about you.
You can experience his love and kindness personally. This video shows you how.
God describes himself as the Creator of all that exists. "In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth…"
In his kindness, God has provided all that we need to sustain our lives—air to breathe, water, food.
God also gave us the imagination to create. Anything we produce or manufacture, we are using materials God already provided on Earth.
Yet, who could match God's breathtaking creativity?
Just look at the 30,000 different species of fish, or the circulatory system in the human body, or how huge plants grow from a small seed.
In his kindness, God also created with beauty.
Rather than an oppressive sky of unchanging darkness, we enjoy a blue sky with constantly moving clouds and vibrant hues of sunrises and sunsets.
As we walk into the quiet of a forest, our souls are revived as we are surrounded by trees and vegetation of various heights and textures, sometimes mixed with colorful flowers and wild birds.
And when we come to a stream or lake, don't we often pause to stare at the water’s movement, reflection, and glimmer? Beauty.
But also: power. When standing at the edge of an expansive ocean or mountain range, we’re comforted to know that something exists far greater than ourselves. We're reminded that we’re not the center of the universe, nor do we need to be.
In nature, God provided all that’s needed for life, guidance for our creativity, and beauty for our enjoyment. The kindness of God.
However, let's get more personal. You can know God’s kindness in your life on a very intimate level, just for you.
Religion—with its rules and rituals—says you must be diligent and prove that you are good enough to be accepted and loved by God.
That’s religion’s message, but not what God tells us.
God assures us that his love is unlimited and unmerited. “In this is love, not that we loved God but that he loved us."
It’s an unconditional love for all people…. “For God so loved the world…"
And it never changes. God has said, "I have loved you with an everlasting love…"
Imagine being loved where nothing you do can make God's love come to an end. God’s love never fades.
God knows everything about you. He knows your struggles, your conflicts, your anxieties.
And rather than demanding that you deal with all of it, Jesus instead welcomes you, “Come to me…and I will give you rest."
God took on the form of a human, in the person of Jesus Christ, the Son of God.
Moved by his love and compassion he healed people of disease, disabilities, and miraculously provided food for thousands. Jesus even raised some people from the dead.
Many thousands followed him not only for his miracles, but for his teaching which freed people, guiding them to a new life.
Jesus said he came to give us "life, more abundantly.”
He can tenderly change those behaviors or hindrances in your life that maybe you've tried to change but can’t. Addictions. Anger. Anxiety.
Jesus said, "I have come into the world as light, so that whoever believes in me may not remain in darkness."
If we listen to his words, Jesus said, “You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
It is often our own sin that enslaves us. Bad decisions. Words that we wish we hadn't said. Hatred.
Our sin is known by God and stands as a barrier between us and God. Further, the Bible says that the penalty for sin is death.
Out of love for us, Jesus, the Son of God, said he would pay for our sins on our behalf, removing the barrier of sin that stood between us and him.
Jesus was beaten and his body nailed to a cross where he died, carrying our sins with him.
Three days after his burial, Jesus physically came back to life, just as he said he would.
Jesus repeatedly said that anyone who believes in him would be given eternal life.
He can forgive your sins and come into your life. Jesus said, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to me and drink…out of his heart will flow rivers of living water."
To receive his forgiveness and a permanent relationship with him, it starts now.
It’s your decision. You can go through life apart from God or in a relationship with him.
To be clear, even if you respond to his offer, you’ll still face problems. You’ll ikely experience heartache and pain. It’s simply part of living on planet Earth.
But with God in your life, you can turn to God for guidance, comfort, encouragement. He doesn’t merely instruct you. He can change situations; provide answers; act on your behalf.
Would you like to ask Jesus into your life and begin to know his love for you? Here is Jesus' invitation to you:
Jesus said, “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come into him…"
Would you like to open the door of your heart to him? You can simply ask him into your life. I'm going to say a prayer and you can follow along if you want to open your heart to God.
Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for my sins. Forgive me of my sins now. I want you in my life. I want to know you and follow you. Come into my life right now, as you promised you would, and begin to guide me and help me to know you better. Amen.
